เรื่องราวของ ‘โฮชิโนะ คาซึฮิโกะ’ กับภาระกิจสุดท้ายก่อนเดินขึ้น ‘รถบัสคันนั้น’ เรื่องราวเริ่มต้นด้วยความสัมพันธ์ของชายหนึ่งคนกับการบอกลาหญิงที่คบกันอีกห้าคนให้เรียบร้อยก่อน โดยมี ‘มายูมิ’ เป็นตัวหลอกว่าเขาจะแต่งงานด้วยจึงมาบอกเลิก ทั้งที่จริงแล้วโฮชิโนะทำผิดพลาดครั้งใหญ่ในชีวิตจึงต้องทำแบบนั้น มองได้ว่าเป็นทั้งการคารวะและเป็นการสานต่องานชิ้นสุดท้ายของปรมาจารย์ ดะไซ โอซามุ ก็ได้ ท้ายเล่มมีการเล่าเบื้องหลังการทำงานได้ด้วยแล้ว เพราะได้อ่านงาน ‘กู้ดบาย’ ของอาจารย์ดะไซแล้ว จึงตามหาเล่มนี้มาอ่านต่อเนื่องกัน เริ่มแรกอ่านได้ช้าหน่อยเพราะเป็นสำนวนที่ไม่คุ้นเคย ผิดกับงานของ ดะไซ ที่ผ่านแล้วไหลลื่นดีมาก บวกกับขนาดตัวหนังสือที่เล็กกว่าเคย ก็ยิ่งอ่านได้ช้าไปอีก แต่ตอนท้ายก็อ่านไหลลื่นเป็นธรรมชาติดีเช่นกัน เรื่องราวที่คล้ายจะเป็นรูปแบบเดียวกัน 5 เรื่อง พออ่านไปก็จะสัมผัสได้ถึงรายละเอียดและความเข้มข้นที่เพิ่มเติมขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ นับเป็นเรื่องสั้นห้าเรื่องมาเรียงต่อกัน ตอนที่หกก็ลงท้ายความสัมพันธ์ของ ‘โฮชิโนะ คาซึฮิโกะ’ กับ ‘มายูมิ’ ได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติน่าสนใจ The last missions of Kazuhiko Hoshino, before departing on ‘That Bus’. This book explains the relationship of a man who is going to brake up from five women. With the help of Mayumi who act as his marrying wife, as a fact that he had committed a big mistake in his life. Inspired by the unfinished Dazai Osamu’s Goodbye, there is a behind the scenes story on working to become Bye Bye Blackbird. I had already read Dazai’s book so I need to know how good this book. Slowly reading on the beginning because I need time to get familiar with the writing style while Dazai’s works gave me more fluidity. And the published layout as a cause as well, then I can read it fluidly through the end. Composing as 5 separate stories, on reading would observe more details gradually.
