I just read that Yahoo Mail might not support the other languages beside English.

Now I have problem while sending email with Thai text with text encoding TIS-620 but Yahoo Mail keep sending it with text encoding ISO-8852-1. This cause a big problem when I need to communicate with Thai-reading people. They can not read my content at all.

Please help to make TIS-620 support immediately. Thai people are suffering with this problem.

If you have “U.S. English” chosen as the language preference for your Yahoo! Mail account, certain messages encoded with character sets other than US-ASCII may not appear correctly — and your outgoing messages will also be encoded with a US-ASCII character set. Some characters which are not used in American English will appear correctly because they are either part of the character set or are in a format called “quoted printable”.

If you would like to change the preferred language on your account, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
2. Click the “Mail Options” link on the top right-hand navigation bar.
3. Click the “Account Information” link, located on the navigation bar on the left side of the page.
4. Enter your password for account verification. Your browser will then display the “Account Information” page, where you can view your current Yahoo! ID Card.
5. Click the “Edit” button next to the “Member Information” section.
6. Under the “General Preferences” section, click the link displayed next to “Preferred Content:”. Check the dropdown menu and select whichever language you wish from the drop-down menu.
7. When you have finished updating your information, click the “Finished” button to put your changes into effect.
